From the 1930s or 1940s these stunning panels of grey cotton barkcloth feature a classic Chinoiserie print. Chinoiserie is a traditional Western interpretation of Asian motifs. The panels includes classic images of garden scenes with a man and a woman in a lush garden surrounded by tulips and pagodas, and a donkey being pulled by a man across a bridge.
This listing is for three panels that are pleated at the top with a ~3" hem at the bottom.
Dimensions: 80" (L) X 21" (pleats)/ 43" (hem) each
Condition: Excellent vintage condition - there is minor damage to one of the vertical hems (see photo) which is barely noticeable. They could use a good cleaning to freshen them up.
